“Legends of Napa Valley-A Female Perspective"

There are a select few individuals in the Napa Valley who have been involved with legendary wines and who have the historical perspective to tell where things are, where they were and offer a possible glimpse into where they'll be in our valley.  This panel discussion is back by popular demand, in the Wine Tech Group's former tradition of offering this perspective as we start a new year. 

This year's presentation includes Heidi Peterson-Barrett, consulting winemaker for a number of Napa wineries, and Cathy Corison, owner and winemaker of Corison Winery and recently named SF Chronicle Winemaker of the Year.

“Latest Research & Winery Collaboration from UC Davis"

The Napa Valley Wine Technical Group, over its long history, has sustained a successful, collaborative relationship with UC Davis. In continuing this tradition, we are pleased to welcome two representatives from the UC Davis Department of Viticulture and Enology: Dr. Anita Oberholster, Cooperative Extension Specialist in Enology, and Dr. Karen Block, Industry Relations Manager. They will provide an update on the new research labs and sustainable winery and also discuss the latest wine-related research being conducted in the department.
